PGDM Admissions
Admissions for PGDM programs are determined by entrance tests administered by national bodies, institutes, or a consortium of institutes. Upon successfully passing these examinations, candidates are thereafter invited to participate in other stages such as a written test, group discussion, and personal interview. Students are granted final admission based on their performance in these rounds.
Eligibility criteria for PGDM
Applicants must possess a Bachelor’s degree in any field from an accredited college or institute, with a minimum grade of 50%. However, for prestigious universities like IIM, it is required to have achieved a minimum of 60% or a CGPA of 6.5 out of 10 throughout undergraduate studies.
There is no specific age restriction to enroll in this course.
Admissions for the PGDM program in 2024
- The qualifying requirements for PGDM courses include holding a Bachelor’s degree from a recognized university with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks or CGPA.
- PGDM entrance exams include CAT, MAT, XAT, GMAT, SNAP, CMAT, and ATMA.
- The PGDM institutes now accepting applications are AIIM (Gujarat), Amity University, and FMS Delhi.
- PGDM is a prestigious two-year degree program in the field of management, provided by renowned institutions like IIM, IIT, FMS (Delhi), XLRI.
- The admission costs for the PGDM program vary from 1 Lakh to 20 Lakhs.
- According to academics, aspirants should select the appropriate B-School that can provide a competitive advantage even after achieving a 99% score in CAT.
PGDM Entrance Exams
The CAT and MAT are the most commonly accepted PGDM entrance exams in India. Most other admission tests are exclusive to a state or institution.
CAT vs MAT
CAT and MAT are two of the PGDM Top Entrance Exams. Nearly all Indian universities accept these two PGDM admission tests. There are minor differences in the CAT and MAT exam patterns. IIMs primarily take CAT scores.
